WORKOUT HAIR ~ MY RENDITION

Remember this?  Well I decided to try it out with twists instead of braids and I loved it!  It held up great during my runs - not to mention it created the BOMB.COM twistout.  I had to modify it to fit my length since my twists are not as long as hers, but it all worked out.  I will definitely be rocking this again this summer just for kicks.

Here's my rendition:

WORKOUT HAIR

Hey ladies! Need a style that compliments your workout schedule? Me too! Embarking on my 5k journey leaves absolutely NO hair time during the week. And because I'm sweating like there's no tomorrow, I need styles that will last and minimize or hide my poofy roots. I've been rocking a chunky twistout, which I love and hides my poofy roots well, but now I want a 'Style.'

I found this one by YTer BeautifulBrwnBabyDol and I'm trying it today! It seems relatively easy once you get past the braiding, but we'll see.

For all my ladies bring their sexy back or maintaining it, how do you rock your hair when working out?

YES SHE'S ONE OF MY HAIR IDOLS...

{Source}

Clearly I'm a hair STAN!! I love her hair. This Carol's Daughter spokeswoman did an interview recently and decided to bless us with her hair regimen *CHEERS*

Here's the gist:

Her faves are Carol's Daughter Monoi Oil Shampoo and Conditioner (are we surprised??) and Argan Oil. She DCs once a week with heat, 2 strand twists, then takes them out and steams her hair in the shower. (More deets here.)

How simple is that?? I love it. My regimen, as of late, is pretty similar. I don't steam my hair out though. I like the definition of my chunky twist-out I've been rocking. What about you..what do you do similarly or differently than Solo and me?

HOW DO YOU W&G?

Now y'all know I love me some MJ *tear* Anyways as W&G season approaches, I'm wondering, how do you W&G? In my earlier stages I took the term literally and did just that...no leave-in, no styling aid, NADA. I'm a little wiser these days, so I add my leave-in, some shea, and maybe a curling creme for definition. But I want to hear from you guys, if you Wash and Go, what's your process?

DOES IT REALLY TAKE ALL THAT??

So. I've decided to knock off one of my personal goals - to run a 5k. This puts me in 4/days a week training mode *insert are you serious face* Of course with my other obligations, my hair is the last thing on my mind.

While preparing to spend Saturday with my Grandma, I decided to make a 2-for-1 deal and do my hair that night when she went to bed. As I started to pack my things, I noticed the bag was getting heavier and heavier (yet and still I kept stuffing it). I didn't even notice it until it was completely full. The result is the above picture *hides face in shame*

I had multiple conditioners, honey, olive oil, combs, brushes, bobby pins, a hand mirror, clips, on and on and on and on. I said to myself, "Now seriously..do you REALLY need ALL of this?? I mean does it really take all this to do your hair?" I could not believe it. I surmised I did and proceeded on with taking all that crap with me. So extra. I didn't even use half of it! (which I KNEW was going to happen) I've got to do better because honestly it really should not take all that.

So ladies...tell me, for you - does it REALLY take all of this to do your hair?
